Ronald Askew is a visually adaptive artist. He was enrolled at the College for Creative Studies and successfully received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in illustration. He also has completed a certification in Professional Automotive Clay Modeling.

         His love for art and design has led him to many new aspirations. Even after graduating he still finds ways to keep his skills growing. Since graduating Ronald has become a freelance artist. Through multiple clients, he has found each one to be a great experience and excellent results.

        Through his hard work, he started at General Motors in January 2015. He worked diligently at the General Motors Technical Center. While there he worked as an exterior clay modeler in the Buick exterior program. In his next year there he worked in the well-respected Aerodynamics studio, where he worked with just about every car at GM. One of the best moments for him was seeing the 2019 Cadillac XT4 be unveiled at the New York Auto show. This vehicle was one he worked on for 8 months in the studio. He sculpted and milled this from clay and saw it make its way to be signed off for production.

He now currently works at Car and Driver Magazine as an Online Production Assistant. While working with the team he has helped produce many articles for the buyer’s guide section. From helping publish over 700 in-depth reviews and now to working produce and maintain the 460 live make and model pages on the website. He also had a large hand in producing over 100 vehicle images through photoshop to be ready for the 2019 Editors Choice Cars and the 2019 Editors Choice Trucks. His time at the magazine has been thrilling and also helped him to train the production team on Photoshop techniques along with knowing how to categorize new vehicle information. Recently he has also been helping with photo and video work while at Car and Driver. He even recently has jumped into creating artwork for features and news stories.

         When it comes to his clients Ronald will be dedicated to creating work everyone can appreciate. A piece of art that your mom can hang on the fridge or something that will represent your company. No matter what job big or small Ronald will treat the task the same. As an Eagle Scout, he lives by the scout motto and is always prepared for any job. With all of his technical skills, he can pull together any image that you request.
